Senior Project Manager
Oliver is a structural engineer with more than 28 years professional experience, who holds chartered status for works in all Australian states and jurisdictions.
Oliver has decades of experience in remote area project management and engineering, including a long history of working closely with Indigenous Australian communities firstly with Arup and subsequently with Ekistica, who he joined in June 2010. He has worked in structural engineering, building façade engineering, and building and facade diagnostics, WATSAN and Shelter Engineering in Emergencies, and micro-enterprise development in Australia, Hong Kong, Nepal, South Korea, Fiji, Kosovo, Indonesia, and The Maldives. The majority of this experience has included participation in and coordination of multi-disciplinary engineering and architectural teams and has included internal staff management and construction contract administration, procurement and overall project management.
With Ekistica, Oliver provides technical advisory, design engineering and project delivery services to various infrastructure and construction projects in regional and remote Australia and the Pacific. These include owners engineer services to multi-megawatt utility scale renewable power developments in regional Australia; remote renewable energy power systems in the Pacific; remote community swimming pools; infrastructure upgrades to airports, and regional waste management centres.
Oliver is Ekistica’s most experienced project manager and engineer and is a firm believer in location not being a barrier to good technical outcomes.
